Trabajar en la industria intermodal con DrayNow, conectando a la perfección los transportistas y la carga a través de los Estados Unidos, brinda una visión profunda de cuán conectados estamos realmente. Ser capaz de comunicarse de manera efectiva y forjar relaciones interpersonales sólidas, es uno de los aspectos más importantes que le permiten a DrayNow tener éxito. Como compañía, celebramos a los transportistas de todos los estratos sociales en todo el país. Con un lanzamiento reciente en Los Ángeles, se hizo evidente, casi de inmediato, que la comunicación efectiva a los transportistas en español era de suma importancia. Habiendo completado una maestría en literatura española, y viviendo en Chile, he vivido la frustración de no poder comunicarme en mi idioma nativo, así como las maravillosas oportunidades que ofrece ser bilingüe.

Como principal punto de contacto para todos los hispanohablantes que buscan transportar cargas intermodales con DrayNow, tengo el placer de escuchar de primera mano cuánto más relajados se sienten los portadores cuando se dan cuenta de que son capaces de hablar en español en lugar de intentar expresarse en un segundo lenguaje. La tensión disminuye de inmediato y permite a los operadores centrarse más en responder a sus preguntas para que puedan salir a la carretera y comenzar a ganar dinero lo más rápido posible. No hace falta decir que una de las mejores partes de mi trabajo es saber que ser capaz de comunicarse en español brinda a nuestros operadores un nivel de comodidad y confianza que de otra manera no podría ocurrir.

Working with DrayNow, which seamlessly connects carriers and freight across the United States, provides a profound insight into just how connected we all really are.  Being able to communicate effectively, and build strong interpersonal relationships, is one of the most important aspects that allows DrayNow to be successful. Truly caring about our carriers and drivers, remaining accessible, and removing barriers to entry sets us apart.

As a company, we celebrate carriers from all walks of life and from all over the United States. With a recent launch in Los Angeles it became almost immediately apparent that learning to effectively communicate to carriers in Spanish was really important.  Having completed a Master’s degree in spanish literature and after living in Chile, I have lived through the frustration of not being able to communicate in my native tongue as well as the wonderful opportunities that being bilingual affords.

As the main point of contact for all spanish speakers looking to haul intermodal loads with DrayNow I have the pleasure of hearing first hand how much more relaxed carriers become when they realize that they are able to speak in spanish instead of trying to express themselves in a second language.  The tension eases immediately and allows carriers to focus more keenly on getting their questions answered so that they can hit the road and begin making money as quickly as possible. It goes without saying that one of the best parts of my job is knowing that being able to communicate in Spanish affords our carriers a level of trust and comfort  that would not be able to occur otherwise.
