DrayNow was honored last week with the Enterprise Award for Technology Startup for 2019 by the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT).

DrayNow was nominated and applied for this award along with hundreds of other startups and was chosen from three finalists.  It means the world to have all of our hard work of the past three years be recognized by such a prestigious organization, and I know it would not have been possible without the encouragement and support of our families, investors and community.

There have been many major milestones for DrayNow this year, though they have not all come with an award or public recognition.

Some of these milestones are exciting and pretty evident. Our volume of freight moved is consistently growing month over month, even as the industry itself experiences a downturn. The DrayNow team has surpassed 20 member and is continuing to expand. Our platform was entirely relaunched in December and is now better than ever.

But more than those big things, I am excited every day to come into the office and see the seemingly little things that our team accomplishes. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing a new team member nail their first conversation with one of our drivers, or our tech team figuring out a creative solution to a new problem. We are growing and evolving so quickly that I get to see these wins every single day, even if I do not always step back to notice them.

Like any new venture, this journey has been difficult with many ups and downs. It can be easy to get bogged down in the daily struggles of growing a company from the ground up, but the PACT award has made me realize just all of the challenges and wins, big and small, that the DrayNow team has accomplished.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. I am lucky to have an excellent team that is working so hard to grow DrayNow. Again, thank you to my team, my family, my investors and my community for all of your support. Cheers to another great year!
