What makes DrayNow different for Carriers
What makes the DrayNow platform any different from using offerings like Uber Freight, Convoy, and Cargomatic to pick up freight?
For one thing, DrayNow is the first real-time app & marketplace for connecting intermodal freight and carriers. We are also focused operating out of the rail so that you can be anywhere in the country to haul. There are load boards that may have regional loads available, but DrayNow is all local, all the time.
In the interest of transparency, DrayNow has all-in pricing, so the carrier knows exactly how much they will be getting from hauling the load. Nothing is taken off from the price shown on the board. We also show the starting or ending warehouses, so that you don’t have to wait until the order is finalized to know where you are going. This might seem trivial to a non-driver, but having that knowledge can help in deciding what loads to pick if you have had a positive or negative experiences with certain warehouses.
On top of that, DrayNow has an operations team that is available 24/7. We offer direct communication because not every issue is the same, and these instances need to be solved as quickly as possible. There’s no need to search the platform looking for answers or talk to an automated system that doesn’t understand the situation when driver assistance is always one call away.
DrayNow also has extensive contact and relationships with our customers, and there’s an entire sign-up process that they have to go through. This eliminates fraudulent postings that can occur on other platforms. Our team builds those relationships with customers so that we can make sure carriers are provided with the best loads.
The DrayNow platform is supposed to work for the carrier, and on their own time. The marketplace is always available, so it’s up to the carrier to choose loads on their own time. There’s never an obligation to pick up loads or any type of forced dispatch. We let the marketplace do the work.

Some load boards out there are solely focused on over-the-road hauls. This opens up the possibility of having to deadhead for a significant portion of the trip. Empty miles while driving over-the-road can be a huge cost and eat away at your profits. Hauling intermodal with DrayNow lets you stay local and also get the opportunity to street turn, potentially removing the prospect of having to deadhead.
By staying focused on intermodal freight, DrayNow is providing carriers with a standout platform to pick up local loads on their own time and access constant support from a team of people whose expertise is all things intermodal. With DrayNow, we want carriers to get drayage, now, in a hassle-free process where all the information is upfront and the app is working for them.
